Unlost

Privacy Policy

Effective 14 July 2026

Unlost is built to respect your privacy completely. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

Information we collect

None. Unlost has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. There are no servers of ours that receive information about you.

Information stored on your device

The maps you photograph, their alignments, and your display preferences (such as units) are saved locally on your device so the app can show your collection. This information never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app.

Camera and location

The camera is used only to photograph map boards you choose to keep; photos are stored on your device. Your location is used only to draw your position on your maps and to show how far away they are, and it is processed entirely on your device. Neither is collected by us or shared with anyone.

Apple Maps

Unlost displays Apple Maps beneath your photographed maps. Showing those maps, and looking up a region name when you save one, uses Apple’s Maps services, which involves standard requests to Apple (such as for map imagery near the area you are viewing). These requests are made by Apple’s frameworks under Apple’s privacy policy; Unlost adds no identifiers and receives nothing about you in return.

Children’s privacy

Unlost does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date shown above.
